Chairman of the Management Board of JSC "NC "KAZAKH INVEST" Yerzhan Yelekeyev held a meeting with Li Yantao, the Founder of Qingdao Wanlin Food Co., Ltd, during which he discussed the company ’s plans to build a plant for the production of dehydrated onions in Kazakhstan .
Thus, Wanlin representatives reviewed the prospects for investing in Kazakhstan and announced plans to launch a new investment project for food processing. The company considers Kazakhstan a potential market for expanding its business, including purchasing raw materials from local and international supplies. Special attention was paid to the possibilities of partnership with Kazakhstani agricultural enterprises, which can contribute to the development of production capacities and ensure stable supplies of raw materials for further production. The company plans to supply the manufactured products to China, the USA, and European markets, meeting the increased demand in these countries. The implementation of the project will lead to the creation of about 300 jobs for the local population.
The company has successfully conducted agricultural trials in four regions and is currently analyzing the harvest results. Based on the results, a location will be selected to construct a new plant, and the investment for the project will be about $30 million. This meeting was a continuation of the work on the meeting results with the company’s management as part of Y. Yelekeyev’s trip to China in October this year.
